1. What are the most important points to consider when doing bridal makeup?
For me, the most important point in bridal makeup is definitely starting with healthy, well-moisturized skin. Then I begin by learning if the makeup will be used for a photo shoot, the wedding, or the civil ceremony because the techniques differ for each. The makeup done for the wedding should be long-lasting and not troublesome during the bride's dances and all the excitement so that the bride feels very happy throughout the night.
2. What makeup styles do you recommend for @begumbdh wedding dresses?
I think @begumbdh wedding dresses have a very timeless style. Therefore, makeup that is also timeless will create a cohesive look. I can suggest an elegant look and the balletcore trend.
3. What are the trends in bridal makeup? Which makeup styles are most preferred this year?
This year, you can observe that the ultra-feminine makeup trend is at the forefront. Brown tones for the eyes and pink shades for the cheeks and lips are frequently preferred looks.
4. How do you ensure the longevity of bridal makeup on the wedding day? What products do you use to make it last long?
I start by moisturizing my brides' skin as best as possible. Since everyone's skin type is different, it's important to do a good skin analysis first. Therefore, it would be wrong to give a specific example in this regard. But I can say this: I try to choose products that are resistant to heat and sweat for the base application. For this reason, I prefer a product that is not too shiny or oily for the base. Of course, when we talk about brides, shimmer is a must, and I make sure to achieve this in the later stages of the makeup with a highlighter.
5. What should be considered in bridal makeup for different skin types?
If the bride's skin is oily, I make sure not to use oil-based products to prevent the skin from becoming shiny during the wedding with all the dancing and excitement. This way, my bride can dance joyfully and enjoy the moment all day. For dry skin, I start with more gel-based products to prevent the skin from rejecting the makeup or looking flaky as the hours pass.
6. For @begumbdh brides, do you recommend a natural and simple makeup or a more dramatic look?
I generally prefer simple makeup. Heavy makeup is not very popular these days, which ensures that my bride looks better in photos.
7. What should brides pay attention to during the makeup trial before the wedding?
Unfortunately, during the summer season, which is when our bridal season starts, I can't take many trials due to my busy schedule. Therefore, when my brides set their dates early and contact us, we can provide the service they want more comfortably. In the trial, I first want to see my bride's wedding dress and the hair and makeup style she envisions. If the dress is not ready, brides usually have an idea of their dream dress. A visual related to this dream helps me draw my roadmap. During the trial, I learn what my bride especially likes or dislikes about makeup. Sometimes I believe that certain touches they don't like can actually look great, and when I apply it, my brides are usually surprised and say, "Yes, this thing I didn't like actually suits me very well." In this regard, trials are valuable for us.
8. How do you decide on color selection in bridal makeup according to the color of the wedding dress and the wedding theme?
Rather than the wedding theme, I shape my choices according to my bride's hair color, skin color, eye color, and even eye shape.
9. What products should brides carry with them to touch up their makeup on the wedding day?
In the carefully done bridal makeup I've done so far, there hasn't been any smudging or deterioration during the day. I've always received great feedback. For this reason, I ask my brides to only carry lipstick and transparent powder for touch-ups. If the bride will do her own touch-ups, the amount and brush of the transparent powder are, of course, very important. I always discuss this with my bride and explain it in detail.
10. As @serhatsenn, what are your most important makeup tips for brides to feel their best?
As I said, the most important factor for achieving beautiful makeup is a well-maintained and healthy skin. I advise avoiding trying new products, drinking plenty of water, avoiding treatments and peels that will tire or damage the skin, and cleaning and moisturizing the skin frequently, especially in the 2-3 weeks leading up to this special day. Additionally, even if my bride loves eyelash extensions, I definitely don't recommend coming to the wedding with them. After all these warnings, when the wedding day arrives, it's enough for them to just trust me.
